Barbara Jean Moore, age 79, of Dandridge, TN, passed away May 28, 2013, after a courageous battle with COPD. Barbara was born in Dyer Brook, ME on July 14, 1933, and resided in Oakfield, ME.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Oral (Olley) Moore; three sons, Richard and wife, Kathy, of Franklin, TN; Michael and wife, Heidi, of Tolland, CT; Jeffrey and wife, Wendy, of Newtown, CT; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur (Mike) Dutton and wife, Ladena, of Stratford, CT; a niece and nephew.
A memorial service was held at the First United Methodist Church, Dandridge, TN, on May 31st. Barbara will be laid to rest at the Dyer Brook Cemetery at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Lung Association or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
