Men’s Twilite League begins its season on Monday June 3. A Twilite informational meeting will be held tomorrow night May 30 at 7 p.m. Schedules, rules and scoring will be discussed. It is vital that at least one member of your team is at the meeting. A schedule is now posted on the bulletin board.

Also next week, Tuesday  June 4, the Ladies Twilite League begins its season.  The course is closed from 4-6 p.m. each Tuesday.
The first tournament of the year, the 12th annual Memorial Scramble will be held Saturday, June 8.  The 18-hole, four-person scramble event will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m. sharp. This event is sponsored by the Ladies Association, with all proceeds going to course beautification and flowers. We will be awarding first and second place in both gross and net finishes. We still have space available for more teams, so call  (532-2662) or stop by the clubhouse today to sign up.
Also that evening, Saturday, June 8, we will be hosting a prime rib and stuffed haddock dinner, cooked to perfection by Leigh Dow and his crew. Members and guests are invited to attend, with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. Jordan and Ryan Hill — the Hill brothers — will be providing the entertainment. Please make your reservations by Thursday, June 6  so we have enough food for everyone. Call the clubhouse with your reservation and choice. Cost of the dinner is $15 per person.
Coming up July 6  is the annual Houlton High School Alumni Scramble. Get your four-person team together and be ready for this nine-hole golf treat at 9 a.m. You do not have to be a HHS alumnus to play.  If you don’t have a team, sign up anyway, and we will put you with a group.
June will be a busy month for golf with the good weather on its way and vacation time. Again this year tee times will be taken up to five days in advance and will take precedence over walk ons. We have lots of events going on at the course throughout each week, but every day there is time for general play. Feel free to call the Pro Shop to find out what is going on, and make tee times for any day.
Listed below is the daily schedule at HCGC, which is open for general play — 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. — except for the following: Junior Golf, each Monday at the range and on the course from 8-11 a.m., beginning Tuesday, June 25. Course is open for general play after 10 a.m., but be respectful of our future members by letting them play at their pace. Also, each Monday is     Men’s Twilite League. The course is closed from 3-6 p.m.
Each Tuesday is Ladies Twilite League from 4-6 p.m. The first and 10th tees are closed during these above times. The course is open after 6 p.m. for general play, but be respectful of ladies play and do not expect to play through ladies groups ahead of you.
Each Thursday is Men’s Day and supper from 1-7 p.m. Men 18 and over and guests — no singles.
Each Wednesday and Friday a Blitz is held from 12:30-1 p.m. off the first tee. Course is open for general play.
Carts are available until 6 p.m. and must be returned by 7:30 p.m.
