Happy 150th Fort

FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine – The town of Fort Fairfield is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, and The Star-Herald is proud to feature this special section highlighting the community’s vibrant past.
Readers will find stories about the town’s history, the McIntosh School, the Friends Church and Fort Fairfield High School’s Wall of Fame. Voscar, the Maine Photographer, reflects on a number of happenings in the town’s past, as well as his experiences covering the famous Maine Potato Blossom Pageants.
This special section also includes a number of historic photos that were submitted by the townspeople.
