The Houlton Golf Club is now open for business, and carts are in use. An early bird green fees walking special of 9 holes for $12 and 18 holes for $20 is available for the first month of play.
During the following week, the Ladies Day Opening Banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 21st. At 5 p.m. the social hour begins followed by supper and information about this year’s play. A sign-up list is now in the Clubhouse for the Supper and Ladies Twilight League. Also that week – on Thursday, May 23rd, will be the first Mens Supper of the year and meeting for all playing in the Mens Twilight League with rules, info and scheduling reviewed. If your team is new to the league this year, at least one player from your team is required to be at the meeting. Sign up for this popular Twilight League is happening now at the clubhouse. Deadline for the League Sign Up is May 29th.
The 12th Annual Memorial Tournament will be played Saturday, June 8th.
The 4-person Scramble will be an 18 hole event this year (weather permitting), with a Shotgun start at 1 pm. Get your team ready and sign up now. We are looking for a full field for this inaugural 2013 golf event. All proceeds go towards the Beautification projects and gardens around the course. On that same day, Sat. June 8th, we plan to have our 1st Social and Supper of the year. A Roast Beef / Baked Haddock Supper, prepared by our new General Manager, Leigh Dow, and his staff will be held after the Memorial Tournament at 6pm. Members and Guests are welcome.
