After 28 years, Ron Langworthy is retiring as Community Living Association’s executive director.
Langworthy has worked as a developmental disabilities professional for more than 40 years. He has dedicated his life to providing supportive, healthy living environments for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As executive director, Langworth helped CLA become part of a nationwide change in philosophy recognizing the rights of people with disabilities to live unrestricted lives. CLA, formerly the Roger Randall Center, grew to be a pioneering and exceptional organization —  helping people live fully engaged lives and participate more fully in the community.
CLA expanded services, serves more people, and has grown to be Houlton’s second largest employer — currently employing 247 staff supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a wide range of residential and supported and independent living environments, work and training programs, day services, shared living, and community case management.  The number of people served by CLA continues to grow.
CLA staff and clients wished Langworthy well — congratulating him on a long career, and thanked him for his leadership and contributions that will forever remain with CLA.
