Here we are in the month of May, a beautiful month. So far the weather has been favorable with temperatures in the 70s. What could be better than that? May is named after the Greek goddess, Maia, it is noted for St. Joseph, the worker, International Nurses Day is May 12, also Music Day, and we welcomed May Day, the first day of May.

Some doors were adorned with May baskets, the first day of May. Especially one beautiful one is on Evelyn Callnan’s door, made by her friend Mary Callnan. It’s a pretty purple May basket and a delight to witness.
Welcome to Gary Keyes, our latest and newest tenant. Gary, we hope you have a long and happy time here at Ricker Plaza. On the past sick list were Jeannie Hall and Doris Hogan. Both are better and back home again and in the swing of things.
Sylvia and Donnie Thompson’s granddaughter, Molly Thompson, daughter of Bob and Betsy, has been selected to be the speaker at the baccalaureate services. She was selected out of a class of over 600 students at Messiah College in Pennsylvania. Congrats to Molly in this great honor.
Paul McGillicuddy is on a trip to Toronto.
The flower garden in front is looking beautiful, thanks to the work of Sylvia Thompson. There are little ornaments, bird houses flower pots, and other items that make it attractive. Come and see for yourself. The subject of angels came up recently. Here’s some more information on angels: When life is hard, help me not despair; angels around me, please answer my prayer. If you feel your arms are too short to reach for the heavens, fear not, for there will always be an angel reaching out to meet you halfway.
Happy Mother’s Day everyone and if your mother is not living, remember her in prayer. God bless and keep well.
