How did you like the snow of Tuesday, April 9! For those of you who live out-of-state, that’s what we had, cold, wet snow. two inches of it!
It’s nice to see Ruthie, Shirley Nason’s sister, around now. She is back to her apartment after several weeks of being confined in the hospital and otherwise.

We were sorry to learn of Lillian Stairs’ death. Lillian lived here many years and was a prominent fixture in our Ricker community. She could sing verses of songs and we always enjoyed them when she sang. She was last at Houlton Regional Hospital. We missed her when she left. God bless, Lillian.
Peggy Robinson hosted a nice birthday party last Saturday, April 6 for her brother, Patrick Friel, who lives at Ricker Plaza. There was an abundance of food, and a beautiful birthday cake with ice cream. The community room was nicely decorated. Attending the party: Peggy’s and Patrick’s sister, Maureen Friel, Sylvia Cummings, Dale DeVoe, Dot Campbell, Shirley Nason, Barbara Ganem, Evelyn Callnan, Lois Downing, Priscilla Brownlow, Joyce Bryant, Robin Chambers, Jeannie Hall, Paul Armstrong, Ken Thibodeau, Sadie Carpenter, Flossie McDonald plus two friends of Peggy’s and Patrick’s. We all wished Patrick a nice birthday and sang the song to him.
Judy Oliver was in the community room one day last week to sign up those who wanted fruits and vegetables for the coming season. It was a busy time for Judy.
Speaking of vegetables ACAP is sponsoring Eat Smart Live Strong, a series of four classes that focues on the importance of consuming enough fruits and vegetables along with fun ways to boost daily activity. Classes will be held in our community room at 10 a.m. Tuesday April 23, May 7, May 21 and June 4. It sounds like we could learn from this subject.
On Friday, April 19, we are having a potluck at noon. Please sign the sheet on the bulletin board as to what you will bring and come and enjoy and socialize. Tenants only please.
Thomas Suitter is spending sometime in Bangor and will return soon.
About angels: Some angels wear wings of silken white and golden robes so grand. Some walk the earth in blue jeans and lead a helping hand.
Have a wonderful week, free of pain but blessed with joy and love.
