The Northern Maine Soap Derby Committee is inviting all 8-16-year-olds to be part of Maine’s only Soap Box Derby Race. Race Day is Saturday, June 22 at Derby Hill in Houlton Community Park. The Northern Maine Soap Box Derby (NMSBD) committee will help any youth interested in racing to find a car or check out the www.AASBD.org website and get sponsors for a car of your own.
To register, stop by the Houlton Recreation Department to pick up a form or e-mail rec.programs@houlton-maine.com. The race cost $30, but the experience of the “Thrill of the Hill” is priceless! Registration deadline is May 1.
