Presque Isle – Patricia Porter, 71, wife of Leonard Porter, died July 2, 2008, at her home surrounded by her family according to her wishes. She was born October 30, 1936, in Van Buren, the daughter of Roy and Cecile Goodall. Pat resided for over 50 years in Presque Isle, Maine. Pat grew up in Van Buren and attended Van Buren schools. 
Pat married Leonard Porter October 8th 1955. They enjoyed 53 wonderful years together. They were owners of Bud’s Janitorial Service, and served the businesses of Presque Isle and surrounding areas for many years. Pat was a longstanding member of the Presque Isle Elks Club. Pat lovingly cared for many members of her family over the years, including parents, children, and grandchildren, and was blessed to share in the lives of her great grandchildren. Pat and her husband Bud were avid travelers, visiting family all over the country. They enjoyed the outdoors and camping in their RV.
Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, Leonard “Bud” Porter. She has five daughters, Beverly and her husband Neal McCrum of Bangor, Dianne and Stanley Winslow of Presque Isle, Rebecca and Al Engstrom of Buxton, Janet and James Biecher of Warrenton, VA, and Sandra Post and partner Scott Saucier of Presque Isle. Pat has ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Relatives and close friends called 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, July 4th at State Street Baptist Church in Presque Isle. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. at the church with the Rev.
