Northern Maine Media Inc. (NMM), the home of WHOU 100.1 FM, has secured the exclusive contract with the Maine Principals’ Association (MPA) to video stream the 24 games of the Eastern Maine quarterfinals for the 2013 tournament.
The quarterfinals will be broadcast live online at www.whoufm.com starting on Friday, Feb. 15.
WHOU radio has been calling basketball games for over 50 years and veteran announcer, Ken Holck, has provided the play-by-play calls for the station the last 15 years.
WHOU covers a minimum of 50 basketball games in northern Maine every season and covers all Aroostook County games at the Eastern Maine Tournament. This is the first year that the MPA has allowed for a video streaming broadcast of the quarterfinals.
During the semifinals to the finals, WHOU will be broadcasting all Aroostook County teams involved in those games.
