HOULTON – Anna J. Jones, 81, died Feb. 2, 2013 at a local hospital. She was born April 18, 1931 at Houlton, the daughter of LeRoy and Annie (Brewer) Foster.
Anna was a cook at Dana’s Restaurant, the Miss Aroostook Diner and for 20 years at the Mildred L. Day Elementary School.
Anna is survived by her two sons, Stephen Jones and his companion Terri Moulton of Houlton, Alan Brown and his wife, Jami, of Old Town; six grandchildren, Jesse Jones, Nevaeh Jones, Hannah Way, Brian Currie, Jr, Barry Currie and Bart Currie; eleven great-grandchildren, Colby Currier, Bethany Way, Brandon Way, Brody Hodsdon, Haidee Hodsdon, Haylen Way, Harper Way, Kendra Currie, Brandon Currie, Aidan Currie and Taebria Currie; one sister, Jean Henderson; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James H. Jones, her parents, four brothers Merle, Cyril, Hayden and Bertrand, and four sisters Hilda Ramsay, Raida Tyrrell, Phyllis Jay and Geraldine Henderson.
Funeral services were held at the Dunn Funeral Home Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 with Rev. Randall Burns officiating. Spring interment will be in the Howard Cemetery, West Kennebunk.
