The Houlton Shiretown cheering squad advanced to the state Class C cheering competition with a solid showing at Saturday’s regional event in Bangor. The Shires
finished fourth out of 12 squads in the competition. The state event is set for Saturday, Feb. 9 in Bangor. Leading the cheers are, from left, Jackie Condon, Elizabeth Flint, Morgan Wotton and Taylor Forest. See story in Sports.
