Event designed to stimulate lending, access to technical assistance for small businesses in Aroostook County
Officials with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Maine District Office have announced the Meet Your Northern Maine Lenders and Resource Partners Conference will take place on Jan. 9-10. On Jan. 9, the conference will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. at the University of Maine Fort Kent located at 23 University Drive in Fort Kent. On Jan. 10, the conference will take place from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center at 116 Main St. in Presque Isle. The conference is free to attend.
“This is the perfect opportunity for small business owners, and those who are interested in starting their own business, to talk directly with lenders and resource providers from their region about their ideas and business’s needs,” said Marilyn Geroux, acting SBA district director for Maine.
“This is also a terrific time for conference participants to get free technical assistance developing their business plans and loan proposals,” Geroux added.
The conference is presented by Northern Maine Development Commission, Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community, USDA Rural Development and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
