To the editor:
Over the years I have read many letters to the editor in the Houlton Pioneer Times, but few have ever reached the level of compassion and courage shared by Mrs. Desrosiers in her letter published on November 28th.
Mrs. Desrosiers has eloquently written what so many of us feel, but are unable to express in such a caring way. For that I say thank you, thank you, thank you.
I, too, chose to stand on the side of truth and in doing so I know that the truth does set us free. Free to be the men and woman God created us to be and free to walk in the beauty and sanctity of the marriage covenant illustrated by the relationship between Christ and His bride, the Church. I knew Mrs. Desrosiers choice, mine and many others goes against the grain of the “progressive society” we find ourselves in today but as she stated, “The truth will stand.”
Bless you and your precious family and keep standing no matter what!
