Items sought by Island Falls Rec

    ISLAND FALLS — The Island Falls Recreation Department is looking for new or slightly used gifts such as toys, books or other items in excellent condition for children and adults.
    According to Ruth Frazier, recreation director, items can be dropped off Dec. 9 between 12:30-5 p.m. at the rec center and on Dec. 16, from 12:30-5 p.m. children can come to the center to pick out items for their family members. All items are free.
    “We’ll have helpers for the kids and are hoping to have donated wrapping paper so kids can leave with gifts wrapped,” Frazier said. “All items are first come, first served. With a lot of people and families having a rough time, I thought it would be a fun and exciting event for families to do.”
