HAROLD F. KENNEY – Presque Isle – A committal service will be held 1:00PM Monday, May 21, 2007 at Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.

    MAPLETON – Harold F. Kenney, 90, passed away on December 28, 2006 after a brief illness. He was born November 21, 1916 in Presque Isle, the son of Bernard and Iva (Bean) Kenney.  
    He was a member of the State Road Advent Christian Church and a Sunday school teacher as well as holding various offices through the years.  He was a member of the Washburn Masonic Lodge No. 193 AF&AM, receiving his 60 year pin. Harold served as a member of the Board of Directors for M.P.G. for several year, Board of Directors for Farm Credit, the Farm Bureau, Castle Hill Grange, Young Farmers Association, Board of Directors for Federal Land Bank, and Board of Directors for Federation of Fertilizer, long time active member of the Ashland Fish and Game Club, Co-founder and Director of the Castle Hill Snowmobile Club.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, snowmobiling, and horse racing. He was a potato farmer for over 40 years in Mapleton.
    He is survived by his wife of 68 years Phyllis (Welts) Kenney; three sons, Gary Kenney and his wife Joan of Windham, Brian Kenney of Castle Hill, Preston Kenney and his wife Rhonda of Castle Hill, a daughter Joyce Humphrey and her husband Wayne of Washburn, three brothers Murray Kenney, and Beryl Kenney of Presque Isle and Lyle Kenney of Mapleton, three sisters, Ruth Chaisson of Yarmouth, Christine MacPherson of Mapleton, and Althea Sweeney of Portland. Harold is also survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by four sisters, Opal Bagley, Mildred Lint, Rowena Gove, and Audrey Golden, and a brother Donald Kenney.  
    Funeral services were private with the Rev. Ken Phelps officiating. Immediate family and relatives called from 1 P.M. Sunday, December 31, 2006 until time of service.  A committal service will take place in the Spring at Fairmount Cemetery.
