Aroostook County Extension Association annual meeting is Nov. 15

    All Aroostook County residents are invited to an informative evening at the Aroostook County Extension Association’s Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held on Thursday evening, Nov. 15, in Presque Isle at the Grant Memorial Methodist Church, on Fleetwood Street. The business meeting will be preceded by a social time at 5:30 p.m. and a free dinner will be served around 6 p.m. Reservations are required. 
    John Jemison, Water Quality Specialist, University of Maine Cooperative Extension, will be speaking on “Maine’s Agricultural Future”. In other business, there will be a PowerPoint presentation of highlights of the programs that have been conducted throughout the year by University of Maine Cooperative Extension staff.  The Extension Association Annual report will be presented, a new slate of directors will be elected, the Friends of Extension Awards, and the Extension Service Awards will be presented.
    Membership in the Aroostook County Extension Association is open to all citizens of Aroostook County and all County residents may vote at the Annual meeting.  To make dinner reservations, please RSVP by Thursday, Nov. 8.
