After falling for the first time on the season to Presque Isle Sept. 11, the Houlton golf team has rebounded nicely picking up a pair of victories over Fort Kent and Caribou.
Against Fort Kent Sept. 12, Houlton was victorious 165-207. The individual Shire results were: Lucas Peabody, 40; Garrett Putnam, 40; Ryan Dee, 42; Cameron J. Clark, 43; Cameron E. Clark, 44; Cole McLaughlin, 46; Aaron Sewell, 46; Alex Donovan, 48; Lexi Emerson, 49; and Parker Brewer, 54.
For Fort Kent, Ali Prescott was the top golfer with a 45, followed by Ryan Reiff, 53; Bryce Carter, 54; Boo Prescott, 55; and Eric Deschene, 63.
Co-medalists on the day were Peabody and Putnam.
Sept. 11 at the Presque Isle Country Club, Houlton fell 179-170. Scores for Houlton were: Putnam, 44; McLaughlin, 44; Cameron J. Clark, 45; Brewer, 46; Peabody, 46; Dee, 49; Emerson, 51; Donovan, 55; Aaron Sewell, 55; and Cameron E. Clark, 61.
For Presque Isle, Adam Flynn and Mike Boone both led the way with rounds of 41, followed by Josh Gordon, 44; Liam Hughes, 44; Jenna Hallett, 46; Karson Eaton, 46; and Gabe Player, 49.
