American Flag Color        PT Orville BoutilierHODGDON – M. Orville Boutilier, 92, died Sept. 14, 2012 at a local healthcare facility. He was born August 22, 1920 at Griswold, the son of Samuel and Florence (Mann) Boutilier.
    Orville moved to Houlton in 1921, working for Chadwick Florist and at his father’s greenhouse on Riverside Street (now Daniels Florist) until joining the US Army after Pearl Harbor. Returning to Houlton in 1946, he built Boutiliers Florist, retiring in the spring of 2011. In 1965, Orville was one of three local businessmen to own and operate Hilltop Lanes where he worked and bowled until he was 89. He was an active lifetime member of the VFW and an active member of the Dux Club donating countless hours.
    Orville is survived by his close friend who was like a son, Larry Scott, and his wife, Michelle, who took care of him in his last years, their children Natalee and Sofia; son, Ted Porter and his wife Donna of FL; two daughters, Ruth Lozier of Edmonton, Alberta, Beth Morrison and her husband, Bob, of Old Orchard Beach; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Velma “Babe” Boutilier, and his brother, Fredrick Boutilier.
