AMITY – Dawn Knapp, 92, died Sept. 6, 2012 at a local hospital. She was born June 28, 1920 at Amity, the daughter of William and Jennie (Tracey) Shields.
Dawn was a member of the Amity Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, David Knapp of FL, Perry Knapp of Hodgdon; four daughters Alice Lindsay of Houlton; Judy Putnam of Amity, Betty Marshall of Ludlow, and Charlotte Lightbody of Hodgdon; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Fern Shields of Linneus; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan Knapp, her son, Duane Knapp, her daughter, Lorraine Knapp, a great-grandson, two great-great-granddaughters and a great-great-grandson.
