Small town paper does it well

To the editor:
    I have been reading the Houlton Pioneer Times since I moved to the Houlton area in 1972. I’ve always liked your publication and thought you served the needs of the local residents very well for a small town newspaper. But this week’s issue, August 29,  is simply outstanding. I loved your special Business Focus section. It must have been difficult to print an advertisement right next to your write-up about them.
    The Business Focus is excellent but I also found all articles from the front-page stories about autism, the dedication of a scoreboard, McGill’s Community Band, and the sport pages to the story of Bess the Book Bus were very well done.
    Way to go, Pioneer Times!
