Acadia Medical Supply: We care

    In 2001, Acadia Medical Supply, Inc. opened for business in Fort Fairfield. In 2007, they opened a store in Houlton and they continue to be an integral part of the community.
    “Patient care and customer service are the number-one priority to our employees and owners,” said Shawn Murchison.
    According to Murchison, Acadia Medical Supply, Inc. has an obligation to those they serve.
    “We want any transaction that is taking place to be as easy and convenient as it can be for the customer/patient,” he said. “We see our patients on a regular basis and develop relationships with them. We genuinely care about each and every patient and customer that we have. They know they can count on us 24/7.”
    Acadia Medical Supply, Inc., owned by brothers, Scott and Steve Clark of Fort Fairfield, employees 13 full-time and six part time employees. With its main office in Fort Fairfield, Acadia Medical Supply, Inc. has additional locations in Houlton, Presque Isle and Fort Kent. Acadia Medical Supply, Inc. is the only locally owned Durable Medical Equipment provider in Aroostook County.
    “We are locally owned and operated,” said Murchison. “When patients have questions and they call, they are speaking to someone who is right here in Aroostook County.”
    Acadia Medical Supply, Inc. offers an assortment of services and products to assist a patient with home health care by offering respiratory care, physical therapy supplies, incontinent and ostomy supplies, wound care, diabetic stockings and shoes, a variety of wheelchairs, scooters, stair lifts, platform lifts, reclining power lift chairs to home medical equipment and much, much more.
    Acadia Medical Supply, Inc. is open in Houlton Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; in Presque Isle Mondays-Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; while Fort Fairfield and Fort Kent offices are open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
