Cary Library Corner

Editor’s note: The following article is a synopsis written by staff members and volunteers of the Cary Public Library highlighting one of the suggested reading books, as determined by their staff.
The Dragon Librarian of your nightmares is here! “Miss Lotta Scales” has arrived in our library.
By Carmen A. Deedy, this new book and audio CD has delightful text, vivid pictures and surprisingly fun word play throughout. Miss Scales truly is fired up to protect the books.
Scheduled to be a read during Story and Craft Time in September, there is also a dragon librarian doll who morphs into a proper librarian when she learns the power of a good story — enough to make her scales fall  off.
The Cary Public Library is open Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 532-1302.
