Campbell named to dean’s list at MMA
Kaleb Campbell of Hermon has been named to the dean’s list at Maine Maritime Academy for the 2012 Spring semester. Campbell’s grade point average was 3.3333. He is currently stationed on State of Maine MMA training ship in the Caribbean. He is the son of Andrea Campbell and the late Gary Campbell and is the grandson of Norma and Bruce Campbell of Patten.
Cone named to dean’s list at UNE
BIDDEFORD — Katherine Cone, daughter of Milton and Susan Cone of Houlton has been named to the dean’s list for the 2012 spring semester at the University of New England. Dean’s list students have attained a grade point average of 3.30 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.
Cone is a 2011 graduate of Houlton High School and is majoring in medical biology and a minor in neuroscience. She is also actively involved at the University in the EMS Club, the Pre Med Club as treasurer, and a member of Dr. Glenn Stevenson’s neuroscience research team.
Hiscoe honored at Indiana
Hannah Elizabeth Hiscoe of Houlton was named to the dean’s list at Indiana Wesleyan University for the Spring 2012 semester. To be named to the list, students must obtain a 3.5 grade point average (or higher) on a 4.0 scale and carry at least 12 credit hours.
Alysha Latvis Earns Academic Honors at Purdue University
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind — Alysha Latvis, of Danforth, ME, has earned academic honors at Purdue University for the spring 2012 semester.
To earn honors, students must have had at least a 3.5 semester or cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

NMCC releases spring 2012 dean’s list
PRESQUE ISLE — Northern Maine Community College has released its dean’s list for the 2012 spring semester. Two hundred twenty-two full-time students achieved a 3.20 average or better; 48 of these students were named to high honors with a grade point average of 3.85 or better. Twenty-one students had the distinction of earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
“Once again, we are pleased to publicly acknowledge the hard work and dedication of many NMCC students,” said Dr. William Egeler, dean of students. “Students achieving this academic honor recognize the value of higher education to their future and to the lives of their families. Their sacrifices and hard work are reflected in this recognition and we hope all who know them take the time to acknowledge their achievement.”

UMFK students named to spring 2012 dean’s list
FORT KENT – Dr. Rachel E. Albert, vice president for academic affairs, at the University of Maine at Fort Kent has announced that 302 students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2012 semester.
Students attaining the honor must be degree candidates, enrolled as a full-time student or a part-time student, and must maintain a 3.20 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the semester with no grades below a “C.”
