HOULTON – Maurice W. Blanchette, Jr., 69, died June 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born February 5, 1943 at Skowhegan, the son of Maurice W. and Evadene V. (Roy) Blanchette.
Maurice served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a paramedic for the town of Houlton for 24 years. Maurice was a member of the Houlton American Legion and a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church.
Maurice is survived by his wife of 29 years, Claudine (Dudley) Blanchette of Houlton; two sons, Edward Blanchette and his wife, Barbara of PA, Donald Blanchette and his wife, Candy, of MA; three daughters, Robin Blanchette-Hamblen and her husband, Jason, of NH, Jacqueline Hurely of South Gardiner, Suzanne Fitzpatrick of Houlton; six grandchildren, Jyssica, Danielle, Tyler, Megan, Ian & Georgina; his sister, Carla Webster of Wilton; special friend Ron Austin; several nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home Tuesday 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating. Interment was in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
