Corriveau, Patsy J., April 27, 2012. A funeral service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 11 a.m. on June 30, followed by refreshments and memories in Watson Hall. Interment to be held in Johnson Cemetery, Presque Isle.
ELIOT – Patsy Joan Williams Corriveau of Eliot passed away April 27, 2012 after a six-month battle with cancer.
Patsy’s greatest passion in life was teaching and inspiring children. She taught with joy for 39 years.
Born in Sherman, TX, she lived most of her life in Maine. Patsy was a lifelong enthusiast of baton twirling, winning the Miss USTA competition in 1967, and taught baton right up until her illness.
Patsy graduated from Houlton High School in 1969, attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle and later earned her master’s degree in education from Plymouth State University, NH. Patsy will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and especially for her profound love of family.
Patsy is lovingly remembered by her family. She is survived by her mother, Freda Lamoreau Williams of Inverness, FL, devoted friend and companion, David McQuade of York; children, Adalia Corriveau of Portland, OR, and Hannah Corriveau of Baltimore, MD; brother, Robert Williams of Asbestos, Quebec; sister, Tammy Paul and her husband, Danny Paul of Yarmouth; sister, Heather Williams and partner Min Huang of Columbia, CT; cousin, Arthur Lamoreau and partner Michal Corbin of Madawaska; and nieces and nephews, Trevor, Erica, and Riley Paul, Hayley, Emily, and Megan Overturf; as well as many extended family members and friends. She is predeceased by her loving father, James M. Williams.
There will be a funeral service at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Houlton at 11 a..m. on June 30, followed by refreshments and memories in Watson Hall. Interment will be at Johnson Cemetery, Presque Isle thereafter.
