    Norton, Richard “Dick” A., 78, May 10, 2012.
PT Richard Norton    HOULTON, OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Richard “Dick” A. Norton Sr., 78, went peacefully to be with the Lord on May 10, 2012 at the HRH progressive care unit.
    Dick was born May 9, 1934 in Bar Harbor, son of the late Albert and Eva (Strout) Norton. He graduated from Steuben High School.
    Dick moved to the O.O.B. area in 1951 where he met and later married Leona Vance on Dec. 24, 1952.
    Dick worked at the West Point Pepperell as an electrician for many years and other surrounding factories. Upon retirement, Dick later moved to the Houlton area to be closer to his three sons.
    Dick had a great sense of humor and a niche for telling jokes. He liked drawing, fishing, and cooking.
    He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Leslie Norton.
    Dick is survived by his first wife, Leona (Norton) Desmond of O.O.B and their children, Ken Norton and his wife, Betsy, Dick Norton, Jr., Dan Norton, and his wife, Patty; from his second marriage, ex-wife Debbie (Souter) Norton and their children, Megan Norton and fiancé, Travis Bartley, Ryan Norton, and Emily Norton; grand-children, Eric Norton, Brian Norton and his wife, Kerry, Angel Barton and her husband, DJ, DJ Norton and his wife, Marcie, Matthew Norton and his wife, Erica, and Trinity Bartley; step-grandchildren, Brian Barton and Jennifer Barton; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Samantha Norton, Kaitlyn and Kameron Barton, Nathan Norton, Adrian and Avayah Norton, Alyssa and Angelina Norton, and step-great-grandchild, Dayton.
    Dick was a loving, devoted, and caring father and grampy and loved their visits. He will be greatly missed and leaves us with many fond memories.
    He is also survived by his very special sister, Alberta Vance of O.O.B. and many special nieces and nephews.
    Many thanks to all those who cared for our Dad over the last three years at Madigan and HRH. To all those who have offered their sympathy at this difficult time, thank you for your care, concern, and help.
    A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
