PT Joan McEwen OB    HAYNESVILLE – Joan Avis Dwyer Caron “Jossie” (Jocrow) McEwen, 58, went home to be with her Lord and Savior April 10, 2012. She was born June 23, 1953, in Houlton, and was the daughter of Stanley and Avis Dwyer.
    She raised two beautiful daughters, Sarah and her husband, Asa Cook, of Bridgewater, and Melissa Caron of Haynesville; three sons, Roger and Earlene McEwen of Houlton, Thomas McEwen of Biddeford, and Ryan McEwen of Corinth; eight grandchildren, Dylan, Silas, Laura, Andrew, Thomas Jr., Kylie, Ryan Jr. and Donovan; brothers and sisters, Gene and Pam Dwyer of Bradford, Emery and Jean Dwyer of Medway, Marlene and Colin Hogan of Linneus, Brenda and Jim Hall of Littleton, Norma and Bruce Malone of Haynesville and Nancy and Bill Malone of Haynesville; a special uncle, Hartley Dwyer of Weston; many nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Caron; and her parents.
    She loved the Red Sox, her Kindle Fire, and her family was her life. She was a very active member of Haynesville Baptist Church, secretary of the four wheelers club and a member of the weavers guild.
    Friends called 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at Haynesville Baptist Church, where a celebration of her life was held 1 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Steve McNally officiating. Interment was held at Riverside Cemetery, Haynesville. There was a time of fellowship and sharing after the service at the church.
