NMCC offers notary public course

    PRESQUE ISLE — With things like bankruptcy, identity theft and consumer fraud on the rise, the need for notarized written agreements and documents is ever increasing. Northern Maine Community College is offering a one-day workshop to assist interested individuals in applying for a notary public commission in Maine.
    The notary public workshop will be held Friday, March 23 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The cost is $49. For more information or to register, call the NMCC continuing education division at 768-2849.
