The F. A. Peabody Company (FAPCO) has announced that Nikki Shields has been selected as the featured agent of the month by Washington National Insurance. Shields specializes in life, health, benefits, disability and senior care insurance.  In December 2011, she led the entire United States in Net Annualized Premium (NAP) for Washington National, a Fortune 500 Company that specializes in voluntary group health benefits.
Shields is committed to the concept of voluntary benefits having witnessed the features of these plans first hand.  In regards to voluntary benefits she stated, “I have seen these plans help people who are going through the trials of cancer and the hard times of disability.  The accident plan has even worked for me by covering emergency room costs for my two teenage boys.  I feel everyone should have some sort of coverage to help fill the gaps of high deductibles because, after all, anyone can have an accident”.
