BANGOR & HODGDON – Wilfred “Will” Taylor 95, passed away peacefully February 5, 2012 in Eddington. He was born March 29, 1916 at Hodgdon, the son of Miles A. and Sarah “Sadie” (Robinson) Taylor.
Will served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Houlton and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and drove truck across country. Will enjoyed meals delivered by the Murray family, especially the holidays. He looked forward to his “sweet” trays filled with homemade baked goods. His favorite foods included meatloaf, peanut butter fudge, Breyers coffee ice cream, Wendy’s hamburgers and breakfast at Howard Johnson’s. Will had special people in his life including the Murray family Debbie, Billy, BJ and Angel, Rosemary Delano-Meritt and the staff at Wendy’s, Union St. Bangor.
A special thank you to Beacon Hospice and staff, Donna, Krissan and Jean for their compassion and care of Will in his final days, Eddington Fire and Rescue, Brookings & Smith and Dunn Funeral Home for their services.
At Will’s request, there will be no services. Interment will be in the Hodgdon Cemetery in the spring. A service of Dunn Funeral Home.
