Southern Aroostook varsity boys basketball coach Vaughn Sleeper has been sidelined as of Jan. 24.
“We are dealing with an internal issue,” said SACS Athletic Director Murray Putnam. “As of right now, meaning day-to-day, our program is continuing as Jon Porter is handling it.”
Sleeper said he has not been notified if he will coach the remainder of the season or not, as of presstime.
“I am only concerned that the team is successful and not distracted by the incident,” he added.
