Once again, the Health Services Foundation has been fortunate in its Digital Mammography Campaign when it received $2,500 from F.A. Peabody Company.
“This wonderful contribution to the effort came about when F.A. Peabody Company employees decided to do a matching payroll deduction for the digital mammography services at Houlton Regional Hospital,” said Elizabeth Dulin, Foundation executive director. “F.A. Peabody has been a generous supporter of all Foundation efforts since the very beginning back in 1983.”
F.A. Peabody Company was instrumental in starting the County Open, which has been an annual event for 22 years and is a continuing fundraiser for the Foundation. “They have made significant contributions to projects and programs over those many years, and those contributions have been instrumental in assisting the Foundation to give back so much to the communities we serve, added Dulin.
Pioneer Times photographSUPPORTS ONGOING EFFORT — The F.A. Peabody Company employees decided in 2011 to start an internal campaign to help support the Health Services Foundation after receiving information on the foundation’s effort to purchase the new digital mammography equipment. The employees rallied together along with the support of the F.A. Peabody Company to raise $2,500 for the fundraising effort through a payroll deduction campaign. F.A. “We sincerely thank FAPCO’s employees for wishing to assist the Foundation with this very critical project and to the management in matching those employee deductions,” Dulin said. “The Foundation has been able, over the years, to assist our health care providers with so much that was needed and not always easily attainable because of organizations such as F.A. Peabody which absolutely understands the importance of quality health care for their communities, and for that we are extremely grateful.”
