The annual Houlton Alumni Band Day will take place on Saturday, Jan. 7 at the varsity girls game versus Stearns. David McGillicuddy and Joe Fagnant will be directing the band and look forward to reconnecting with alumni at this fun event.
“We are looking forward to having you return to HHS,” Fagnant said. “All former Houlton High School band members are encouraged to attend. There will also be prizes awarded for alumni that participate.”
Band members are asked to arrive at 4:45 p.m. to get music and instruments if needed. At 5 p.m., rehearsal will take place in the Houlton High School auditorium. At 6 p.m. the SAD 29 Music Boosters will provide dinner. At 6:30 p.m., band members will prepare for pre-game, perform musical selections and the national anthem. The band will also perform at halftime.
Those wishing to participate should e-mail jofagnant@mlsn.net or call 532-6551 ext. 22 for more information. There are instruments available for those needing one. The band will pick familiar songs from past years and have music packets ready for you when you arrive.
