Norman and Ruby Botting, formerly of Patten, and now living in Ashland Estates celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Nov. 16. They went to Governor’s in Presque Isle for dinner. Their daughter Paulette and husband Harvey McLellan, Sr. and their son, Paul Botting and his friend Mary Mitchell of Houlton, celebrated with them.
They have two sons, Norman Botting, Jr., who lives in Houlton and Arthur Botting, who is deceased.
The couple lived in Patten for 55 years before moving to Ashland Estates. The couple was married in Island Falls by Rev. Wilmot Emery, with witnesses Mrs. Emery and Ruby’s father Emery Pyle.
