    Gilpin, Peter J., 45, November 29, 2011.  Arrangements by Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, Hampden.  Interment held in the Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
PT Peter Gilpin    HAMPDEN – Peter Joseph Gilpin, 45, loving husband, and father passed away November 29, 2011. Peter was born in Brooklyn, NY June 29, 1966 to Walter E. Sr. and Margaret C. (McGoldrick) Gilpin.
    Peter was a 1984 graduate of Houlton High School. He then attended EMCC where he earned an associate’s degree in automotive repair. Peter had a zest for life and was always looking to help friends and neighbors. He enjoyed snowmobiling, golf, and many other sports. His greatest passion was watching his children play sports, always providing great support and cheers no matter if they were winning or losing. Peter will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
    Peter is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carol A. (Bubar) Gilpin; his loving children, Zachary, Nicholas, and Marissa, all of Hampden; his father and stepmother, Walter E. Gilpin, Sr. and wife, Eileen, of Portland; brothers, Timothy and wife, Karen, Brian and wife, Marci, of Phoenix, AZ, and Walter E. Gilpin, Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Hampden; his sister, Margaret Anne Hill and husband, David, of Houlton; grandfather, Larry Marshall; aunts and uncles, Robert and Mary Gilpin, Jane Gilpin and Cecilia Denniston; his mother-in-law, Anne Metherell, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Debbie, Brian, Wanda, Kevin, Derek, Willie, Shawn and Shane; special friends, George DelleChiaie and Peggy and Rusty Botting, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends too numerous to mention. Peter was predeceased by his mother, Margaret, two uncles, Herbert and Edward Gilpin; his mother-in-law, Janet Warman; maternal grandparents, John and Margaret McGoldrick; paternal grandparents, Herbert and Rosemary Gilpin; and two uncles, John McGoldrick and James Denniston.
    Family and friends were invited to visit 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden.  A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 70 Western Avenue, Hampden.  Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Peter’s honor may be made to Reeds Brook Athletic Boosters Club, 28A Main Road South, Hampden, ME 04444 or to the Peter J.
