Houlton Rotary has stepped up once again to promote literacy in our community by sponsoring Cary Library’s 2012 Summer Reading Program. The theme this summer will be “One World, Many Stories.”  A strong emphasis will be placed on opening the minds of young patrons, encouraging them to explore a world without borders. Library staff members hope that participants will leave with a better understanding of the world we live in, along with knowledge of how we are the same as well as different from other children in other lands. The summer program reaches out to well over a hundred children in our community. Taking part in the presentation are from left, Rotary President Scott Dionne, Librarian Linda Faucher and Rotarian Leigh Cummings.
