HODGDON – Evelyn O. Quint, 92, died November 23, 2011 at a local health facility. She was born on January at Cary Plantation, the daughter of Alan and Estella (Williams) Oliver. Evelyn was a graduate of Hodgdon High School, class of 1936, and married her high school sweetheart, Cyril Quint.
She loved making ceramics, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and making quilts and afghans to give to family and friends.
Evelyn is survived by five sons, Alan Quint of Hodgdon, Pedro Quint and his wife, Annette, of Lewiston, Gehrig Quint of Saco, Kurt Quint and his wife, Claudia, of Lincolnville, and Brent Quint of Hodgdon; four daughters, Clare Quint of Florida, Sally Danubio and her husband, Joe, of Massachusetts, Sharol Putnam and her husband, Lanny, of Hodgdon, and Melinda Horan and her husband, Rob, of Augusta; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Oliver of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; two daughters, Sharon and Judy; two grandsons, Gherig and Jared; a great-grandson, Arthur Gove; three brothers, Alston, Wendall, and Ralph and her step-father, Clyde Oliver.
Funeral services were held at the Hodgdon United Baptist Church Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 with Rev. Mark Lunn officiating. Interment was in the Hodgdon Cemetery.
