Mill Pond Civil Rights team attends training seminar in Presque Isle

The Civil Rights Team at Mill Pond School attended team training in Presque Isle on Oct. 25. Students from various schools in Aroostook County gathered to learn ways to make their schools free from bias, discrimination, and bullying.
The team recently held a Mix-It-Up Day during lunch with grades 3, 4, and 5. Students were randomly seated and encouraged to mingle with other grade levels during lunch. The team will be preparing puppet shows and classroom presentations to foster acceptance of each others’ differences within the school and community.
