American Flag Color    OAKFIELD – William L. Shaw, 85, died Nov. 1, 2011, in Houlton. He was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Smyrna, son of Garnet and Olive (Rockwell) Shaw.
    He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Frank B. Holden Post No. 52, Oakfield. He retired from Maine Department of Transportation in 1981.
    He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sherry (Prince) Shaw of Oakfield; and one son, Carl L. Shaw of Presque Isle.
