Three Greater Houlton Christian Academy cross-country runners competed in the Class C state finals on Saturday at Twin Brook.
Destinee Neureuther and Micah Wiley ran for GHCA, while Nick Lunn, who runs independently with GHCA, represented Hodgdon High School.
At the state meet, Washburn’s Carsyn Koch won the title finishing with a time of 20:17.74. GHCA junior Neureuther was 31st with a time of 23:33.96.

In the boys Class C state meet, senior Matthew McClintock of Madison took top honors in a time of 16:37.63. GHCA senior Wiley was 44th with a time of 19:09.68 and Lunn, a junior at Hodgdon, finished 77th at 21:12.39.
On Oct. 22, the GHCA runners participated in the Class C regional meet in Belfast.
Again, Koch of Washburn was first with a time of 20:28.46. GHCA girl runners included Neureuther, 10th, 22:57.10; junior Lauren Robertson, 31st, 25:05.94; freshman Kayla Neureuther, 42nd, 26:39.61; junior Sara Hemingway, 43rd, 26:40.00 and junior Halle Duff, 48th, 27:41.23.
In the boys’ regional final, Mattanawcook Academy senior Matt Guiod was the top runner with a time of 17:27.54.
The GHCA runners finished in the following order: Wiley, 12th, 18:49.24; junior Russell Socoby, 41st, 21:25.73; senior Ethan Holmes, 45th, 21:56.81; sophomore Alex Angotti, 68th, 25:00.91 and sophomore Josh Winslow, 72nd, 25:26.64.
Hodgdon’s Lunn came in 20th with a time of 19:42.48.
