    Kevin Larson passed away October 30, 2011. He was born July 13, 1971 in Houlton to Robert Larson, Sr., and Janet Simpson.
    He is survived by his wife of twenty years and high school sweetheart, Kelly; and their two sons, Tristan and Isaac; Janet and her husband, Brian Folsom of Hodgdon, Robert Larson, Sr., of Florida; his siblings, Rob and his wife, Penny, of South Paris, Vicki of Houlton, Mike of Houlton, Andy and his wife, Jenny, and Matt and his wife, Jenny, all of New Hampshire, and Danielle of Florida; his father and mother-in-law, Cliff and Janet Barker of Houlton; and their children, Mike and Amy Joy of Washburn, Amy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jody and Doug of Hodgdon, and Tracey and Andy of Houlton; his godchildren, Madisyn and Garrison; his godmother, Janet Barker; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; special cousins, Roger Larson, Linda Layman, Joanne Zaysley, and “Uncle” Roger Wilson; his close friends, Ryan, Jay, Mark, Micah, John, Pat, James, Chris, and Meredith.
    Kevin learned mechanics beginning at the age of 13 in the family garage from his grandfather, Gerald Simpson. Kevin started his welding career in 1986 at Stairs Welding. This became his passion and he bought a portable welder and began working for himself. He became the most talented metal fabricator and loved heavy equipment repair. He found solace in the driving and the variety of jobs.
    He loved the adrenaline rush of driving fast. He began his love for snowsledding with Glen Stairs and has passed that on to his sons, as well as his love for dirt bikes, cars, and ATVs.
    His best years were spent teaching his sons to tinker, fix, and repair everything, going with his wife and sons to their sporting events, Boston Bruins and Sea Dogs games.
    He was predeceased by his grandparents; his brother, Elliot; three uncles; an aunt; and his friends, Craig and Nancy.
    Visiting hours will be Thursday, November 3 at the Wesleyan church from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service. Kevin has requested no flowers. Instead, gifts may be made to Tristan or Isaac in c/o the County Federal Credit Union, 13 Market Square, Houlton, ME 04730.
