    HOULTON – Morris A. Cassidy 78, died October 23, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 28, 1933 in Houlton, the son of Lewis Joseph and Mary (McCue) Cassidy.
    Morris was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church and member of the Knights of Columbus where he was a Past Grand Knight. He was a well-respected teacher at Houlton High School, teaching math for 37 years.
    Morris is survived by his wife, Lois (Hurley) Cassidy of Houlton; two sons, Kevin Cassidy and his wife, Lisa, of Brunswick, and Kent Cassidy and his wife, Ann, of Dover, NH; five grandchildren, Liam, Tessa, Hannah, Emily and Alex; one sister, Linda Hannigan of Houlton; very special friends, David and Sandra Little, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Harold and Oden, his sister Bonnie Delcenio.
    A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
