    VAN BUREN — Denise Marie Megquier, 42, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 2, 2011, at a Caribou hospital with her sister Diane and her beloved Stevie – boy beside her. She was born August 30, 1969, in Malden, Mass., the daughter of Harold Megquier of Orient and Mary (Gilfoyle) Megquier of Houlton.
    She is survived by two sisters, Debby and her husband Michael Kenyon of Weston, Diane and her husband Paul Dumont and their children, Damien and Isaiah of Wade; her second family of twenty plus years, Steve and Sheryl Parent of Van Buren, their children Elijaah Parent, Jason and Marie Parent, Scott and Mecca Parent and their daughters Maizlyn and Morgan Parent all of Van Buren. She is also survived by her half sisters, Donna Megquier and family, Kelley Megquier and Danny Megquier all of Mass.; along with Linda McDonough of Fla; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Denise was predeceased by her parents, Harold Megquier and Mary Megquier.
    Although Denise was born with many physical and mental health problems, she always found a way over, around or through them usually getting whatever she wanted. Most of the time that was a coffee from Tim Hortons, ATV time with Steve, or special quiet time before bed with Sheryl. For any one that was “touched” by Denise over the years, please remember her while you enjoy your daily cup of coffee.
    Relatives and friends called at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
