Sewing Basics
Personal Enrichment classes will start soon. Sewing Basics will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 6–9 p.m. at the Houlton High School Home Economics wing. The instructor is Penny Richardson and the course fee is $50. Woodworking will begin on Thursday, Oct. 13, 5–7 p.m. at the Houlton High School shop. The instructor is Fred Pelletier and the course fee is $50. Beginning Digital Camera also starts on Thursday, Oct. 13, 5 – 6:30 pm, for three sessions at the Houlton Higher Ed Center. The instructor is Wendy Lewis and the fee is $30.
Cake Decorating Class
Houlton Hodgdon Adult Education announces a Beginning Cake Decorating class at the Houlton High School Home Economics wing on Tuesdays beginning Tuesday, Oct. 25 through Dec. 20, from 6–9 p.m.. The instructor is Cindy Webb and the course fee is $50 (materials extra). Call Mary Murray for more information.
Retirement Funds and How to Protect Them
A three-session course on managing your personal retirement funds begins Thursday, Oct. 27, and continues Nov. 3, and Nov. 10, from 6-8 p.m. at the Houlton Higher Education Center. The instructor, Richard Hammond, CFP of Sage Financial, will work through various scenarios of investing and maintaining your funds in an uncertain environment. This course is being offered by the instructor and the Houlton Higher Education Center for only the materials fee of $5. Registration is required so that adequate materials can be prepared.
