The Houlton High School varsity golf team slipped to 3-5 on the season with a loss to host Presque Isle (7-1) on Monday, 164-182.
Low medalist was Presque Isle’s Evan Waddell, who shot a 39.
Other scores for Presque Isle were: Mike Boone, 41; Connor Shaw and Adam Flynn, 43s; Gabe Player, and Matt Sullivan, 46s; Carson Eaton, 48 and Cody Merrill, 49.
For Houlton, Alex Donovan led the way scoring a 44, followed by Cole McLaughlin and Doug Dickison and Lucas Peabody, all with 46s; Cameron Clark hit a 50 and Isaac Brown finished with a 60.
Last Tuesday, the Shiretown golf team played their divisional meet at JaTo Highlands in Lincoln against Caribou, Presque Isle and Fort Kent.
Low medalist was Caribou’s Caleb Chapman with a score of 38. Caribou won the match with a team score of 165, followed by Presque Isle, 171; Houlton, 174 and Fort Kent, 227.
Scoring for Caribou were: Matt Kemm, 39; Ben Wyman, 40; Reggie Rideout, 48; Cory Rideout, 54; Connor Thibeault, 56 and Katie Pelletier, 64.
Leading Presque Isle was Waddell, 40; Flynn, 42; Shaw, 44; Merrill, 45; Boone, 45; Jenna Hallett, 47; Player, 49; Liam Hughes, 50 and Sullivan, 53.
Donovan shot a 40 to lead the Houlton team, followed by McLaughlin with 43; Clark, 44; Dickison, 47; Peabody, 48 and Brown, 71.
For Fort Kent, Alex Chasse carded a 43; Ali Prescott, 52; Bryce Carter, 54 and Boo Prescott, 78.
