The Greater Houlton Christian Academy hosted Fort Kent and Washburn in its first cross-country meet of the season last Wednesday in Houlton Community Park.
GHCA’s Micah Wiley ran the 3.1-mile course in a time of 21:58 to finish first in the boys’ division, followed by Fort Kent’s Sam Ouellette, 22:36; Nick Lunn of Hodgdon who runs with the GHCA team, 23:53; Russell Socoby, GHCA, 25:48; Eric Deschene, Fort Kent, 26:45; Ethan Holmes, GHCA, 27:24; Josh Winslow, GHCA, 27:40; Jared Michaud, Fort Kent, 29:11; Matt Rioux, Fort Kent, 31:20; Alex Angotti, GHCA, 31:23 and Chandler Dobson, Washburn, 34:38.

In the girls’ division, GHCA’s Destinee Neureuther placed first with a time of 27:22, followed by Cassidy Spencer, Fort Kent, 30:04; Kayla Neureuther, GHCA, 31:52; Sara Hemingway, GHCA, 31:54 and Halle Duff, GHCA, 32:41.
GHCA will run its next match today in Fort Kent, along with Limestone/MSSM and Washburn. On Sept. 10, the Presque Isle Invitational is scheduled for all County teams.
