    SCARBOROUGH – Janet Byrne, 82, died August 28, 2011 in Scarborough, ME, with her loving family by her side. She was born March 3, 1929 in Bangor, ME, the fourth child of Josiah and Thirza (Curtis) Hunt. Some of her greatest joys in life were yard sales, flea markets, and her doll collections.
    She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Byrne and brothers, Theodore and Harmon Hunt.  She is survived by; one brother Roger Hunt and wife Lorraine of Ocala, FL, three sons, Chris Drew and wife Wallis of Mt. Chase , ME, Gregg Drew and wife Dawn of North Berwick, ME, Randy Drew and wife Diane, of York, Nebraska, nine grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
    She was very appreciative of her nieces, Mary Walker and Sue Hunt, who visited her frequently.
    The family would like to thank the staff at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, for the compassionate care given to Janet in her final days.
    A memorial service will be held Oct. 3 at 1:00 pm. at the Island Falls Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Arrangements are in the care of the Johnson Funeral Home, 26 Market St., North Berwick, ME.  Online condolences can be expressed at www.JohnsonFuneralHome Me.com.
