    DYER BROOK – Freda Nevers, 91, died Aug. 13, 2011, in Houlton. She was born June 9, 1920, in Island Falls, the daughter of Edward and Annie (Ireland) Goodine.
    She is survived by three children, Jeanette and Ken Peters of Fort Fairfield, Scotty and Candy Nevers of Merrill and Erlene and Marcus Russell of Weston; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Geraldine Perry of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl; and four siblings.
    A graveside memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Merrill Cemetery with Rev. Naomi Sam-Kpakara officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. For an online guest book and to leave condolences, please go to www.bowersfuneral.com.
