Doreen and Josh Jones, formerly of Mars Hill, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an April 13 reception hosted by their children, Jennifer Williams, Rellie Jones and Penny Flowers.
The Jones were married April 23, 1958, and now live in London, Ohio.
Josh owned his own restaurant, was the general manager of Mars Hill Mountain, and worked for a tree company, and retired after 35 years with the R.C. Barry pump company. Doreen stayed home and raised three children.
Among those attending the celebration were children: Jennifer and Wes Williams of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Penny and David Flowers of London, Ohio; and Rellie and Lisa Jones of Germany. Rellie, who is currently serving the U.S. Army in Iraq, was able to return home for the party.
The Jones also have six grandchildren.
